Author Biography

Terri Thorne was born and raised in California, where her early years were shaped by cycles of systemic abuse and neglect. Though silenced by her circumstances for much of her childhood, she grew into a voice of empowerment and advocacy, investing herself in supporting survivors and creating spaces for healing.

The wounds of Terri’s past became the foundation for her resilience. Through education and self-discovery, she charted a path from struggling survivor to determined advocate. Today, Terri dedicates her life to mentoring those often overlooked by society, helping others find their own voices and courage. Her work as an advocate and her storytelling reflects her unyielding belief in the possibility of healing and transformation.

Terri's professional experience includes being a senior marketing event planner for Microsoft and worldwide partners, a retail entrepreneur, and a Director of Engagement for a multi-million dollar nonprofit.  She has extensive experience in all marketing facets, from social media, newsletters, web design, and email campaigns to creating and printing collateral, signage, and booth design.  Additionally, she is a master at in-person marketing and networking.

Terri resides in Houston, Texas, where she continues her work with compassion and purpose. Every word she shares and every story she tells serves as a reminder that even in the face of unimaginable hardship, healing is possible—and that by lending our voices to the truth, we can break cycles of silence and find strength in unity.
